Garcinia Cambogia is the former scientific name of Garcinia gummi-gutta. Other common names include kudam puli or pot tamarind, Malabar Tamarind, and brindle berry. This plant genus belongs to the Clusiaceae family which you can find in Asia, Polynesia, Southern Africa and Australia.
