How To Take Care of Skin in Summer

Summer season can be harsh on your delicate skin. Extra care is essential to protect the skin from harmful UV rays. Summer could make your skin look dull, oily and tanned. A good skin care routine could assure healthy and glowing skin.

Stay away from sun
Sunscreens can be used as a barrier to prevent the exposure to the harmful radiations. Stay away from meat products and junk foods to avoid awful skin break outs. Foods rich in vitamins C and E together can prevent sunburn. Eat plenty of citrus fruits, berries, tomato, and nuts to keep sun burn at bay.

Summer drinks like coconut water, buttermilk, mango juice etc can be consumed in plenty. Coconut water has a high potassium content which can help to transport more nutrients and oxygen to the skin by increasing circulation. Green tea is rich in antioxidants, which help to remove dead skin cells. Studies also prove the anti-cancer properties in green tea which helps to prevent skin cancer.

Cold Shower
Avoid hot showers during summer as it makes the skin drier. Cold shower helps to soothe your skin along with preventing acne breakouts. It keeps body odor at bay.

Exercise
Exercise helps to remove the toxins and presents you a radiant skin. Simple exercise along with yoga could work wonders on your skin. Sweating while working out helps to remove the dirt from the skin. Work outs enhance the blood circulation of the body and thus results in a flawless skin.
